Early prototype

Your photos already know where and when. Timeline puts them in order.

Timeline reads the time and place stored in your photos and lays them out as a chronological timeline. Then it shows you something a photo album can't: where your path crossed someone else's.

What it does

Upload photos that carry their capture time and location, and Timeline does the organising.

A timeline from your photos

Capture time and location are read from each photo, then everything is ordered chronologically, with no manual tagging.

Collections and a map

Group photos into collections and see where they were taken on a map.

Crossings

When two people were in the same place at about the same time, Timeline can spot it. Crossings are only found between collections that both people have chosen to make public.

Groups

Create a group, share collections with it, and see everyone's routes together on one map, with the places where members' paths met picked out.
